Fulfilling and receiving

Last updated: October 16, 2026

What it does

A fulfilment records that the goods or the work on an order have moved. You fulfil a sales order out to the customer and receive a purchase order in from the vendor. The wording follows the direction.

An order with at least one stock line gets the full card. On it you enter a quantity for each line and choose the location the units leave from or arrive at.

With no stock line, the order gets one action beside the fulfilment badge. It reads Mark as fulfilled on a sales order and Mark as received on a purchase order. The undo beside it reads Mark as unfulfilled or Mark as unreceived.

Each recorded fulfilment appears as a card under the unfulfilled one. It has a Reverse action.

Before you start

A quote has nothing to fulfil, and a draft purchase order has nothing to receive. Lucrii hides the card and its actions on both. Send the purchase order first. The receiving card then appears.

A line that ships stock needs a location whenever your organisation has any locations to choose from. The submit button stays off until you choose one. A fulfilment with no location moves no stock on or off the shelf.

You cannot reverse a fulfilment that covers units the customer has since returned. Reverse turns off and says so.

A cancelled order does not allow a fulfilment or a reversal.

How to use it

  1. On an order with stock lines, select Fulfil items, or Receive items on a purchase order.
  2. Enter how many units of each line are moving.
  3. Check the location under Fulfil from, or Receive at on a purchase order. Lucrii fills it from the order’s location, or from your organisation’s default.
  4. Select Fulfil items, or Receive items, again to record the movement.

On an order with no stock lines, select Mark as fulfilled beside the fulfilment badge, or Mark as received on a purchase order. It marks the units left on each line as moved, in one go.

To undo a fulfilment, find its card and select Reverse.

  • Line items: Price an order row by row in the line items table, from your items and variants.
  • Refunds and restocking: Return part or all of an order’s money line by line from a refund form in the payments card, and put the stock back.
  • Recording payments: Record money received against a sales order, or paid out on a purchase order, in the payments card.
