Editing, duplicating, cancelling and deleting

Last updated: October 16, 2026

What it does

Edit reopens the order in the form it was created in, with everything filled in. Saving returns you to the order.

Duplicate, the cancel action and Trash are under More Actions. Duplicate copies the order into a new one and opens the copy. The cancel action ends the order early. Trash deletes the order and returns you to the list.

Cancelling a sales order opens a longer window, because there may be money and stock to settle. The window takes a reason, an optional staff note, and three checkboxes that apply to this cancellation only.

  • Refund the outstanding paid amount.
  • Restock the units already shipped.
  • Email the customer a cancellation notice, where the customer has an address on file.

Cancelling a quote or a purchase order opens a plain confirmation.

Before you start

If you leave the page with unsaved changes, Lucrii asks you to confirm first.

You cannot edit a cancelled order or a lost quote. The Edit button goes from the header for both.

A cancel’s staff note can be up to 50,000 characters.

Lucrii offers Trash only on an order that has finished. Until then it is unavailable. Its tooltip says what to do first. A quote has to be marked as won or as lost. A sales order or a purchase order has to be closed or cancelled.

You cannot remove or reduce a locked line in the edit table. Line items says when a line locks and what else that fixes.

Your plan limits how many customer emails your organisation sends a day. Plan, usage and payment says what counts and gives each plan’s limit. A refund or a cancel on the order page goes through even when the limit is reached. Lucrii sets aside a small extra allowance for the refund confirmation or the cancellation notice. Once that is used too, Lucrii tells you the email was not sent. You must verify your email address before Lucrii sends customer emails for you.

You cannot cancel a paid purchase order. Refund it first. The cancel action stays off until you do, and its tooltip says so.

A duplicate is a new order and counts against your plan’s limit for that order type, which Creating an order sets out.

How to use it

  1. In the order header, select Edit. Make the change and select Save.
  2. Under More Actions, select Duplicate to work from an order you have already written.
  3. Under More Actions, select the cancel action to end an order early. On a quote it reads Cancel Quote, on a sales order Cancel Order, and on a purchase order Cancel Purchase Order. Where your organisation sells services only, it reads Cancel Invoice.
  4. On a sales order, choose the reason and set the three checkboxes. Add a staff note if it helps whoever reads the order next. Then confirm.
  5. Select Trash under More Actions to delete an order you have finished with.
  • Line items: Price an order row by row in the line items table, from your items and variants.
  • Refunds and restocking: Return part or all of an order’s money line by line from a refund form in the payments card, and put the stock back.
  • Audit history and moving between orders: See every change to an order on its audit page, and use the arrows to step from one order to the next.
